After visiting the Chilean National Pavilion in World Expo, Shanghai, the metropolis asked, "what does it mean to raise one hand, open five fingers, and hand face to the camera lens?"

Jorge Iglesias, curator of Chile Pavilion, gave the answer: "it represents the communication between people."

In response to the theme "Better City and better life" in World Expo, Shanghai, the Chilean pavilion has answered the path of urban development with its own "city of ties".

"We want to point out that it is important to improve infrastructure construction, and strengthen the connection between people is the fundamental source of building a harmonious city."

Iglesias said.

The theme of the Chilean Pavilion is "the city of ties" to explore the relationship between the urban population.

Iglesias said that gestures played an extremely important role from the overlook of the Chilean capital Santiago in the first Hall of the Chilean Pavilion, to the popular "relative wells" and "chili walls" in the small square.

For example, at the Chilean wall, which can interact with each other, when visitors touch the hands of Chilean people on the screen, people will smile and walk away, and then play a short video on the screen to start telling the Chilean's great or ordinary life.

The theme of Chile Pavilion is to return to the essence of the city.

It focuses on exploring the possibility of building bridges between people and promoting cooperation in all areas of urban life.

He said.

"Cities are not made up of buildings, streets, networks or pportation. It is a place where we relate to others and to natural space.

We hope that tourists have seen a series of pictures and videos circulated in the Chilean Pavilion, recognizing the importance of communication and the interrelationship between people.

Iglesias said.

In the six exhibition hall of the Chilean Pavilion, there is a picture of a little Chilean girl.

She sat in the wall of the screen, observing everything around her carefully, sometimes holding her chin in her hands and pointing at it, as if thinking about the process of urban development.

Iglesias said that this little girl named Manuela is six years old and represents the most common Chilean child.

"Children are the future of the city. The world in their eyes is the most real, and their mental activities are the most real."

Manira, "a little worried" in the first few showrooms, "because she is thinking about the meaning of the city, is it just demolished and built, and countless roads and cars?"

Iglesias said, "until the third exhibition hall, when we see the crowd in the city respect each other and communicate with each other, manoella's eyebrows are relieved and people become optimistic."

From the air overlooking, the Chilean pavilion's architectural appearance is irregular wavy, layered and undulating, like the "crystal cup", carrying the harmonious life of Chilean people and the imagination of the future of the city.

Iglesias stressed that at the beginning of its construction, the Chilean Pavilion attached great importance to environmental protection. Its building materials could be removed except for the foundation, and most of the materials and equipment could be recycled.

The plucent facade is recyclable glass, which absorbs heat and sound.

Besides, Chilean pine is used in the Chilean Pavilion.

In Chile, every Chilean pine has to be replanted three trees to maintain sustainable development.
