  由于近日有服装企业一批出口婴幼儿针织服装因为缩水率超标问题导致退货,检验检疫部门提醒,服装企业要谨慎接单、采购面料,以免再次出现因缩水率问题而退货的情况。

City WTO/TBT early warning information platform announced that recently, a group of garment enterprises exported a number of children's knitted garments because of the shrinkage rate exceeded the standard problem led to return, in the return survey found that the batch of knitted garments shrinkage rate of 3.8%, exceeding the requirements of 3% of foreign customers, resulting in return.

At the time of signing the contract, it clearly stipulated the requirements for the quality of the export garments, and carefully purchased the fabrics according to the specific requirements of the customers, and the quality of the fabrics directly affected the shrinkage of the garments. Therefore, it is necessary to detect the shrinkage rate before the fabric purchase; therefore, the cotton fabric generally has the problem of shrinkage and fading, so we should pay attention to the finishing process, so that the shrinkage rate of the fabrics can be effectively controlled within the standard or customer requirements after the shrinkage treatment, and strengthen the self inspection and self control ability. Before the garments are released, the small and medium sized enterprises with incomplete testing equipment can be sent to the local inspection and quarantine departments or the authoritative third party testing institutions to conduct tests to ensure that the shrinkage of garments is qualified before shipping them. In this regard, the relevant departments remind export clothing enterprises: they should carefully take orders according to their own production capacity.

Shrinkage rate of textile and clothing refers to the percentage of shrinkage after washing or soaking. Factors such as raw materials, density, thickness and production process of garments affect the shrinkage of garments. The instability of shrinkage causes great difficulties for garment production, which has a negative effect on garment layout, typesetting, sewing and washing. It greatly increases the production cost and the difficulty of making garments. Once an intermediate part is not properly handled, it will easily lead to failure.
