Jin Jianhua: Textile And Garment Industry Needs More "Green"

2010/9/17 16:21:00 116

Textile And Garment Industry

Since 1992, the United Nations Conference on environment and development has established a sustainable development strategy for coordinated development of economy and environment, and the worldwide awareness of green has been rapidly strengthened.

Green clothing

The design concept covers all aspects of clothing production and consumption behavior.

Jin Jianhua said that in recent years, many governments have promulgated decrees and decrees to limit or prohibit the toxic and harmful substances on textiles from the perspective of protecting their citizens' health.

At present, many of our fabrics and accessories are not up to international environmental standards, and the products are mainly underwear and clothing.

Our country should follow

raw material

and

finished product

To speed up the development of green clothing industry.

However, in advocating green environmental protection and healthy consumption today, many people do not pay attention to whether their clothes are "green".

So far, there are no actual cases of consumer harm caused by clothing in the world, but skin allergies caused by clothing are not uncommon.

Germany issued a bill as early as 1994 to prohibit the use of 20 aromatic amine organic dyes for contact with skin products, and prohibit the import and sale of products using this dye.

In Japan, the price of a bamboo fiber fabric is up to $500~1000, and many consumers in the European Union are willing to buy Textiles with "green" labels over 20% above the price of ordinary textiles.

Jin Jianhua believes that the trend of "green consumption" in the world is an opportunity for upgrading China's textile products. China is a large country of textile and garment production, and a huge consumer of textile and clothing. It must adapt to the international and domestic markets and implement the green strategy.

Jin Jianhua suggested that a special national R & D fund should be set up to develop environmentally friendly textile materials such as colored cotton fiber, cellulose fiber, corn fiber, milk fiber and soybean protein fiber in textile fibers, and actively develop biodegradable dyes and additives in textile dyes and chemical auxiliaries, so as to achieve less pollution or no pollution.

Continuous breakthroughs in these two fields will greatly boost the "green" level of China's textile and garment industry and greatly enhance the competitiveness of China's garment industry's exports.

Textile service enterprises should jointly establish an ecological textile and garment environmental protection industry chain, form a sustainable development green production mode and green consumption mode, and establish a competitive strategy suitable for the sustainable development of China's textile and garment industry.
