The ECHA and the European Chemical Industry Association (Cefic) recently held a meeting in Brussels to remind companies that the deadline for registration of REACH is November 30th.

As of last Friday (September 10th), ECHA received about 4000 registered dossiers.

Antonio Tajani, vice chairman of the European Commission, said that although the external environment was not optimistic, the number of proposals received was increasing.

However, the deadline for the first batch of REACH registration will not change. Enterprises that fail to complete the registration in time will no longer be able to export to Europe.

It is reported that countries with large chemical enterprises, such as Germany, Britain, France, Belgium and Holland, are more active in the registration dossiers.

Registration and dossier submissions indicated that the number of registered registries increased from 168 in June to 458 in July, and 846 in August. It is expected that 4500 to 5000 substances will be registered before November 30th.

The REACH-IT system can continue to receive the registration dossier after November 30th, but failed to catch the deadline.

The executive body must be responsible.

ECHA hopes that registrants will submit their registration before September 30th, so that there is more room for registration.

In addition, it should be noted that the time limit for registration will not only directly affect the manufacturers of chemicals, but may also affect other chemical users, such as textile manufacturers.
