Labor Shortage Shoe Enterprises

"In previous years, the most

Shortage period

Usually in the one or two months before and after the Spring Festival, but after the Mid Autumn Festival this year, many employees never came back.

The shortage period unexpectedly advanced to more than four months before the Spring Festival, which made us unprepared.

"In previous years, only small shoe factories dug and dug, but this year especially after the national day, like many Taiwan funded shoe factories have been dug up the wall, the loss rate increased."

In the past two years, the traditional manufacturing industry is generally short of labor, but nowadays, the shortage of workers in many shoe factories in Dongguan makes business managers feel anxious.

"In previous years, the most scarce period was generally one or two months before and after the Spring Festival, but this year after the Mid Autumn Festival, many employees never came back.

The shortage period unexpectedly advanced to more than four months before the Spring Festival, which made us all caught off guard.

The manager of the green shoe factory general manager Jiang complained to reporters all over the south.

Industrial pfer

Workers returned home

Equally distressed with Chiang Kai Shek, and the manager of the administrative department of Dongguan's Cross Day footwear industry: "I asked why the workers quit," they said.

Now there are factories in the old home, and they can also find jobs and wages, which are two hundred or three hundred yuan, so they are simply

Quit

Home. "

This argument has also been corroborated by workers.

"The departing people went home mainly," the workers said. Before that, many factories in Dongguan moved to Guangxi, Hunan, Hubei, Henan and other places. Now the factories there have been built and put into production, attracting many local workers to work.

Jiang Xiaotian, from Henan, worked as a general worker in several shoe factories in Dongguan. He told reporters: "I will go home in the new year.

Working in this area for five or six years, there is no sense of belonging. Now there are many factories on the other side of the home. There is work at home.

According to Dongguan oasis shoe factory, green shoes factory, cross day shoe industry, silver shoe shoe industry and many other shoe enterprises, after the national day, more or less the turnover rate of workers is higher than in previous years.

Lack of work - overtime - loss

From the industry perspective, the shoe industry is much less skilled than the electronics industry and other industries.

"Because the production environment of general shoe factories is rather bitter, young workers are more willing to work in electronics factories.

Therefore, under the overall lack of labor environment, the footwear industry is much more serious.

Xiao Tong, a worker in the green shoes industry, said: "because of the lack of work and the shoe factory to catch up with the task, we often have to work overtime late at night, so that we can have a holiday in the new year, and I have to withdraw. After the Spring Festival, I will go to work in a relaxed electronics factory."

According to the insiders, it is difficult to recruit workers, plus the peak season for shoe production. The shoe factories often have to work overtime, so that workers are more reluctant to enter the shoe factories, forming a vicious circle.

"Now the workers in shoe factories are generally over 30 years old, and younger workers are reluctant to go to shoe factories."

A large shoe factory in Dongguan showed that after the national day, the workers' gap reached 50%, and forced to shut down half of the production line.

In the past season, shoes like this will not be more than 30%. in the peak season of production, although most shoe factories do not want to reveal how big the gap is. But this year, the shortage is ahead of schedule, but it is a common feeling in the industry.

"The extension of shortage period is a trend".

Qi Yaochang, chairman of Yin Sheng shoe industry, also found that "because of lack of work, the situation of digging people inside the industry is getting more and more intense."

In previous years, only small shoe factories dug and dug, but this year especially after the national day, like many Taiwan funded big shoe factories were also dug up the wall, the loss rate increased, colleagues in the exchange of such feelings.

According to the insiders, shoe factories should bear the brunt if there is a massive shortage of workers.

The shoe makers who interviewed journalists almost formed a consensus: "no one will expect that when the manufacturing industry is just rising in the past, human resources are so abundant that there is no way to go back to that era."

They are soberly aware that the lack of jobs nowadays is a national shortage of workers, and a structural shortage of qualified personnel. As an enterprise, enterprises can only adjust their production structure to cope with them.

"The shortage period has been extended. This is a trend and inevitable.

But this is competition, and every enterprise has to deal with it by itself.

World shoe industry headquarters deputy general manager Zhang Hongru said.

Other industries are not in short supply.

According to Huang Jing, marketing director of Houjie labor market, after the Mid Autumn Festival, many employees did not come home again, which led to a shortage of general practitioners in some shoe enterprises.

The shortage of GP is also related to the characteristics of this industry. Because of the poor working environment, long working hours and seasonal obvious factors, the rate of employee turnover has been relatively large, especially for the young migrant workers.

Huang Jing said that other industries, such as furniture, electronics and other industries, were relatively stable and normal by the end of the year. There was no shortage of general practitioners like footwear.
