EU Deliberate On Anti-Dumping Complaints Against Leather Shoes In China

The shoemaking office was informed that the EU footwear industry is now planning a new anti-dumping review on leather shoes imported from China and Vietnam.
The current anti-dumping measures for leather shoes will expire at the end of March next year.

China's acting attorney, Pu Ling Chen, who has been acting as an agent for anti-dumping cases involving leather shoes in China, said that the old shoe making countries such as Italy and Spain continue to submit their appeals for re examination, so before the end of this month, the European Union will be able to take part in the review.

The Federation is likely to submit a retrial before the end of this month.
The EU imposed a 16.5% anti-dumping duty on leather shoes originating in China in October 5, 2006 for a period of two years.
The anti-dumping duty entered the sunset review session after the expiry of the end of 2008.
In December last year, the European Commission again ruled that the anti-dumping duty should be extended for 15 months and is due to expire in March next year.
This has seriously affected the export of leather shoes in China.
AOKANG and other 5 shoe companies filed judicial review in the court of first instance in 2006, and the result was rejected.
In June this year, AOKANG filed a lawsuit against the high court of the European Union.
At the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Commerce of China drew the world trade organization's task force to the trial, and the ruling will be announced in March next year.
