Price Increases Of Electricity And Coal Contracts Of NDRC

National Development and Reform Commission

Issued the notice to do a good job in the link up of coal production and pportation in 2011, which explicitly requested that the 2011 annual production and pportation needs link up.

The notice predicts that the total coal linkage in 2011 will be 9.32 billion tons, up 3% over the same period last year.

In 2011, the total supply and demand of coal was basically balanced. However, due to structural contradictions and uncertainties, there may still be imbalance between supply and demand in some areas and individual periods.
