Recently, spring clothes began to be listed on a large scale. The public, Ms. Qi, was going to buy clothes for her daughter. She heard that some of the clothes had formaldehyde content exceeding the standard, which was very bad for the children.

It is understood that last year, the relevant state departments have issued relevant regulations, requiring Western-style clothes and so on.

Clothes formaldehyde content has become a mystery.

Recently, in order to buy clothes for her daughter, Ms. Qi pferred to many large supermarkets and shopping malls in Qingdao, but to her disappointment, she found that many of the clothes were not labeled with formaldehyde.

"Now the floor, furniture and so on are clearly labeled formaldehyde content, and clothes are what people wear on their bodies every day. Why is there no sign?" Ms. Qi expressed her doubts.

In fact, the new national textile basic safety technical specification issued by the state last year made the stipulation of the limit of formaldehyde content: a product, that is, infant products, its formaldehyde content must be less than 20 mg / kg; B products, that is, directly exposed to human skin, must be less than 75 mg / kg of formaldehyde; C products, that is, products that are not directly exposed to human skin, must be less than 300 mg / kg of formaldehyde.

Last year, the national standards for clothing and other garments issued by the state required that these labels be expressed in order to facilitate consumers to identify and purchase.

Most people do not know "clothing safety".

On the 17 day, they visited the supermarket and other places in the clothing market of the island city. It was found that most of the clothes were not clearly labeled with formaldehyde content.

Among the people buying clothes, reporters found that no customer questioned the formaldehyde content.

Ms. Xie, from Shibei District, said she had heard of formaldehyde in the floor and furniture, and had never heard of formaldehyde exceeding the standard.

In a clothing store in Taitung, when a reporter asked about the amount of formaldehyde, the salesperson said, "we are regular products, where does formaldehyde come from?"

A person engaged in garment industry for many years said that there is still a big gap between the development of domestic clothing and foreign countries. Even in the developed coastal cities, people do not know the formaldehyde content of clothes and other common sense. Clothing contains many safety factors, not only formaldehyde, but also pH value, color fastness, etc. all countries have relevant regulations. If they exceed the standard, it is very bad for human health. But in recent years, we have paid more attention to food safety and have not yet attached importance to clothing safety.

New national standard difficult to ban "problem clothing"

In this regard, Zheng Mingmei, Secretary General of Qingdao textile and garment industry association, thinks that domestic consumers are more concerned about the price and style of clothing, but the safety of clothing has not been taken seriously.

Consumers do not care, manufacturers will not be affected by the market, not affected will not seriously do this.

Wang Wentao, lawyer of Beijing Dacheng (Qingdao) law firm, said that the merchants did not express the formaldehyde content according to the national requirements, and violated the consumers' right to know. Consumers could ask businesses to give a clear explanation of formaldehyde content.

It is understood that government departments in order to make our clothing closer to the international industry standards, and promote the export trade of the domestic garment industry and domestic consumers' health and safety, require enterprises to limit and express the content of formaldehyde and other chemical components in clothing.

In this regard, Zheng secretary general said: "such standards are generally difficult to enforce, the lack of corresponding sanctions against enterprises.

Although the government regulatory authorities conduct regular sampling checks on the formaldehyde content of clothing, it is impossible to carry out the test one by one, taking into account the regulatory cost and other issues. Some enterprises may have the mentality of hiding in hiding, which requires the consciousness and sense of responsibility of the relevant enterprises.

In addition, because of the high cost of testing, the cost of enterprises is increased, especially if the enterprises fail to meet the new national standards after testing.

Considering the above factors, it is very difficult for the new national standard to be fully standardized in a short period of time.

Hazard

Excessive formaldehyde in clothes may cause cancer

It is understood that formaldehyde in textile and garment industry mainly in dyeing auxiliaries and resin finishing agents appear, mostly used for fiber, fabric products coloring, fixing and to improve wrinkle resistance, shrink proof effect.

There are four types of textiles that contain formaldehyde: one is ironing clothes, two is trendy jeans, three is children's clothing, and four is the clothing stored in wood-based panel furniture. If the formaldehyde content of the furniture used in the furniture and decoration is high, it will directly pollute the clothes in the wardrobe.

"Manufacturers may need to add various kinds of chemical products in the production process of garments. If the manufacturers do not pay attention to controlling the usage of some chemical products during processing, they may cause formaldehyde content to exceed the standard."

Director of fan Hai hospital, fan told reporters: "if the human body wears clothes that exceed the standard of formaldehyde for a long time, especially clothing such as underwear and human body directly contacts, it may cause dermatitis, skin itching and other symptoms, which can seriously lead to infection, ulceration and carcinogenesis.

In addition, formaldehyde inhalation may cause asthma, and may also cause hematological diseases, liver poisoning and other diseases.

Therefore, fan suggested that the public can buy clothes when they can rub the clothing and smell it after heating. If the pungent smell is emitted, it may be formaldehyde exceeding the standard.

Besides, it is best to wash one or two times after buying new clothes, so that some of the formaldehyde in clothing can be removed, and children's clothing is best not to choose too bright colors.
