Economics

The victim of the crisis reemerged yesterday at the East Asia Summit held in Bali Island.

The annual APEC "clothing show" was cut off earlier this month at sandalwood peak, mainly due to the economic downturn. It is not appropriate to dress up the leaders in Hawaii flower shirts.

But when the leaders attending the East Asia Summit stepped out of the car, everyone wore a Ba Di shirt.

Ba Di shirt

It refers to a traditional Indonesian silk woven fabric dyed with yarn.

President Obama is dressed in green. Thailand's prime minister yingluck chooses red, just like the red shirts that support her brother Thaksin.

Australian Prime Minister Gilad picked up the red wine of Burgundy. Brunei Sultan wore the green color representing Islam.

Indonesian President Susilo, who presided at the party, said to everyone in his purple shirt that Bali Island has "the magic power to ease the jet lag and restore energy". The most important task of everyone is to enjoy it.

Obama looks relaxed today, but when he was in Hawaii, he told reporters that the APEC clothing show should be suspended.
