China's cotton market is deeply affected. According to the monitoring data of the China market research and Research Center, the price of Zhengzhou cotton futures contract contract basically showed a unilateral downward trend, from the high point of 15440 yuan / ton in early 2008 to 10180 yuan / ton at the end of the year, a total decrease of 5360 yuan / ton, or a decrease of 35%.
The average price of futures cotton in 2008 was around 12810 yuan / ton, compared with the average price of 14250 yuan / ton of futures cotton in 2007, the average price fell by 1440 yuan per ton.
Affected by the sharp decline in cotton prices in 2008 and the continuous rainy weather in the Yangtze River Valley in early August 2009, the growth of cotton has been greatly affected. Cotton production has declined sharply, and domestic supply and demand gap has expanded.
