Luxury Consumer Market

Yesterday, on the forum of "the future road of Chinese luxury brands", Zhou Ting, director of the luxury research center of University of International Business and Economics, said that the second hand luxury market has become a new market in China last year and will become one of the main growth points of China's luxury market this year.

Zhou Ting's view came from the 2011 China luxury report released recently by the luxury research center of University of International Business and Economics.

30-40 year old consumers are most interested in second hand luxury goods.

Zhou Ting said: "in our impression, people who have no money are buying second-hand goods and the rich are selling second-hand goods. In fact, it is not. "

In the current Chinese second-hand luxury market, there is a stratification age. At the age of 30-40, consumers are the main buyers and sellers of second-hand luxury goods, mainly luggage, accessories and clothing. People over the age of 40 are more willing to sell idle luxuries.

"Before we launched an investigation into 2005 high asset groups in the Chinese market. Consumers whose assets are less than 50 million yuan are active people in China's second hand luxury goods transaction. They show strong willingness to buy second-hand luxury goods. Zhou Ting said.

The survey results show that with the improvement of consumers' assets, their interest and willingness to buy second-hand luxury goods are on the decline. When assets exceed 50 million yuan, consumers' willingness to sell second-hand luxury goods is higher than that of purchase intention.

Zhou Ting said, "there are also a group of people who are defined as those around the rich, who are very eager to make rich people in social activities, and their willingness to buy second-hand luxury goods is also very strong."

Pawnbroker pays attention to second hand luxury business

Reporters learned that with the increasing stock of luxury goods in China, the circulation of second-hand luxury goods needs links, and many pawnshops want to take up. Yang Yong, chairman of Huaxia pawn shop, said in an interview with this newspaper that the luxury pawn business of luggage and bags will be launched this year.

Insiders pointed out that the second-hand luxury market can be vividly portrayed, but there are still many difficulties to really develop in China, such as the identification of the authenticity of the goods, whether the supply of goods can be maintained, after sale service and many other problems.
