China's largest cotton producing region accounts for nearly half of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region's cotton output. In a statement released last Friday, the regional government said that cotton production from August 1, 2012 to next year is expected to be 3 million 200 thousand tons, up 4% over the same period.

Cotton yarn: the whole cotton yarn market is still maintaining a weak overall pattern. Some high count yarn and high-end yarn manufacturers have been raising prices, but downstream demand is still insufficient.

A large textile enterprise in Liaocheng, Shandong, has maintained a price increase of 500 last week. The price of combing regular varieties is still acceptable. Now combing 21S comes out of the factory price of 28700 yuan / ton, and the 32S price is 29900 yuan / ton.

A medium-sized cotton mill in Jiangyin, Jiangsu, has a stable quotation. Now the 21S is quoted at 29000 yuan / ton, and the 32S is quoted at 30000 yuan / ton.

Global data: the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF) released global yarn production report in the first quarter of 2012. Its output declined compared with the previous quarter, mainly due to the decline in Chinese production. Traditionally, China's output in the first quarter was lower than that in other quarters, because the number of working days decreased during the Chinese New Year holiday.

Compared with the first quarter of 2012, global yarn and fabric production estimates increased in the two quarter.

In terms of yarn production, especially the expected growth in Asian production, Europe, North America and South America are expected to remain unchanged.

Similarly, global fabric production is expected to expand in the two quarter of 2012 and output will increase in all regions.

In the 3 quarter of 2012, global yarn and fabric production remained optimistic.

From the regional perspective, only European fabric production is expected to decline further.

Compared with the previous quarter, global yarn production decreased by -7.7% in the first quarter of 2012, of which Asian production (-9.0%), especially China (-11.3%), was due to the reduction of working days in the Chinese New Year holidays.

However, Japan's output in Taiwan / China and Pakistan decreased by -10.4%, -3.0% and -1.3% respectively.

In the first quarter of 2012, yarn production in Europe, South America and North America increased by +0.7%, +10.7% and +19.6% respectively.

From the year-on-year perspective, global yarn production increased by 12%, Europe (+2.1%), South America (+10.4%) and Asia (+13.0%), North America (-8.6%).

2012 in the first quarter, yarn orders in Europe decreased by -0.7%, but Brazil increased by 7.3%.

From the year-on-year perspective, yarn orders in Europe and Brazil fell by -1.5% and -11.1% respectively.
