2012 ASEAN Garment And Textile Exhibition Opens In Siem Reap, Kampuchea

As one of the forty-fourth ASEAN economic ministers' meetings, 2012

The textile exhibition will be held at Angkor Convention and Exhibition Center in Siem Reap, Kampuchea. The exhibition will be hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of Kampuchea and co organized by Kampuchea Garment Manufacturers Association. It is expected to continue until September 1st.

From January 2012 to June, the textile products exported to Kampuchea reached 2 billion 100 million US dollars, an increase of 9% compared with the same period last year.

According to the information provided by the business office of the Chinese Embassy in Kampuchea, as of the end of June 2012, mainland China invested 127 textile and garment enterprises in Kampuchea, with a total investment of US $620 million. In Hong Kong and Macao, we invested 107 in Cambodia's textile and garment enterprises, with a total investment of US $190 million. In Taiwan, we invested 153 yuan in Cambodia's textile and garment enterprises, with a total investment of 360 million US dollars.
