Infant clothing can not be dry cleaned, and the maximum collar size of the pullover is not less than 52 centimeters.

The national compulsory standard for infant and young children's clothing has been formally implemented in October 1st.

Recently, the commerce and Industry Department announced the results of the inspection of infant clothing in Hanzheng Street: most products failed to meet the standards.

Faced with tens of thousands of stocks coming out of the market, Hanzheng Street's many operating households are in a dilemma.

This standard is the first one specially designed for infants and young children (aged 24 months or less). It is necessary to use buttons instead of zippers, necklines, and metal accessories without burrs.

At the same time, it is clear that the product label must be marked "not dry cleaned" to prevent infantile skin.

A reporter in Hanzheng Street and a staff member from the industrial and commercial bureau of the Hanzheng Street District visited more than 30 infant clothing stores in the Hanzheng Street market. Only four or five of the clothes sold were labeled with "no dry cleaning", which amounted to less than 10% of the new rules.

Most merchants said they did not know the contents of the new regulation.

The industry and Commerce Department said that due to the newly issued regulations, there was a buffer period for implementation, and the new regulation did not impose a time limit on the sale of goods previously produced.

They will give businesses a month to deal with goods that have not been implemented in the past.

A month later, it will be ordered to go down or return to the factory.

Ms. Wang, a business owner of Dover mall in Hanzheng Street, lamented that a considerable portion of the goods she returned to the end of August had not been sold and intended to reduce prices.

Liu boss, a "good baby" clothing store in Hanzheng Street, also said that because the upstream manufacturers did not inform the country of the new regulation ahead of time, he plans to return some of the stocks he can not sell to the manufacturers.

According to Zheng Bin, President of the new clothing trade association of Hanzheng Street, there are about more than 200 pregnant and infant clothing operators in Hanzheng Street. Faced with the implementation of this new regulation, the operators are somewhat unprepared.

Most businesses will take measures such as reducing sales and returning manufacturers, which will cause some losses.

It is estimated that there are tens of thousands of such garments.
