According to leatherbiz Kering, chief executive Fran ois-Henri Pinault of Kering said that the company will share two more sustainable tannery technologies with the industry.

At the New York Times world luxury conference held in Miami in 2014 (2014 New York Times International Luxury Conference), Pinault made a keynote speech. He said that the two brands of the group, Gucci (Gucci) and treasure Tejia (Bottega Veneta), have been committed to improving leather making technology for three years.

He explained that by working with the tanneries in Tuscany (Tuscany) and a German university in Italy, Gucci has developed new processes to remove heavy metals from the tanning process, while Po Ti Jia has developed chrome free tanning technology.

Pinault told the audience in Miami that neither of the two tanning processes will reduce the quality of the finished products, and that they can also greatly reduce the use of water resources and save energy.

Kai Yun wants to introduce these two technologies to everyone in the industry, including their competitors, because the company will continue to lead technology in the industry.

In a dialogue with New York Times fashion director and chief fashion judge Vanessa Friedman later, Pinault confirmed the idea that Kaiyun group will share these technologies with the industry. He said Kaiyun wanted to build an open source (Open source) platform, and everyone in the industry could develop and share new tannery technology.

He added that at present, Gucci is implementing new technology, which accounts for only 20% of the total output.

Once output stabilizes, they will share these technologies with the industry.

He also said that Kai Yun group started looking for ways to make leather making process more sustainable three or four years ago, and consulted tanneries and leather chemicals suppliers to explore ways to ensure that heavy metals can be removed without compromising the quality of leather.

China'S Textile Machinery Is In A Downturn, Empty Talk, Pformation, Upgrading And Innovation.

The pformation and upgrading of enterprises must be synchronized with innovation and efficiency. Not all enterprises pursue high-end equipment, they should do their best. For small and medium-sized enterprises, a large number of products are stockpiled, and all the money invested is stored in the warehouse, which can not form a cash flow.
