Wenzhou customs yesterday released the latest situation of Wenzhou's foreign trade import and export.

Statistics show that in April this year, the total import and export value of Wenzhou was 8 billion 834 million yuan (the same below), an increase of 4.43% over the same period, of which 7 billion 909 million yuan was exported, an increase of 13.71% over the same period last year.

This was followed by an increase of 48.15% in Wenzhou's exports in the month of March. In April, the trend of export growth continued, making Wenzhou's foreign trade grow steadily for two consecutive months.

Correspondingly, the main export commodities of Wenzhou increased significantly in the month of April.

Among them, the export of mechanical and electrical products reached 3 billion 750 million 40 thousand yuan, an increase of 17.05% over the same period last year.

The export was 1 billion 401 million 690 thousand yuan, an increase of 6.19% over the same period, and the export of protective circuit devices and parts exported 754 million 880 thousand yuan, an increase of 25.74% over the same period last year.

And accessories export 670 million 220 thousand yuan, an increase of 43.27% over the same period.

In April, the total export volume of the main export commodities further narrowed, with the decline in mechanical and electrical products narrowing by more than 6 percentage points. The decline in the footwear industry narrowed by nearly 4 percentage points, while the protection of the on-off circuit was narrowed by over 8 percentage points, while the clothing and accessories decreased by over 11 percentage points.

This is related to the rapid decline in imports of iron, primary plastic, liquefied petroleum gas and other hydrocarbon gases.

However, imports of logs, machinery, synthetic rubber, beer and so on were strong during the same period.

What is particularly worth mentioning is that, thanks to the quickening pformation of Wenzhou enterprises and the pace of machine replacement, the import and export of mechanical and electrical products continued to grow in 1-4, an increase of 31.95% over the same period.

Among them, the import of textile machinery and parts increased by more than 55%, while the import of liquid pumps and liquid hoists increased by 20 times.

However, despite the warmer data in the month of April, Wenzhou's foreign trade situation is still grim.

According to statistics, in the 1-4 months of this year, the total import and export value of the city was 33 billion 81 million yuan, down 9.22% from the same period last year.

Of which, exports were 28 billion 890 million yuan, down 5.2% compared to the same period, and imports were 4 billion 191 million yuan, down 29.74% from the same period last year.

Wenzhou customs analysis said that in March and April, foreign trade and imports and exports increased for two consecutive months, indicating that Wenzhou's foreign trade situation has improved and downward pressure has eased slightly.

However, it should be noted that there is no major change in the fundamentals of foreign trade at home and abroad. Especially in the absence of a significant change in the main market demand, it remains to be seen whether foreign trade can continue to pick up.
