Vietnam Imported Cloth $4 Billion 100 Million In The First 4 Months Of 2019

According to the statistics of Vietnam general statistics, Vietnam imported about $20 billion 600 million in April 2019, a decrease of 2.6% compared with March, an increase of 17.6% over the same period in 2018, of which the increase in import volume of foreign-funded enterprises increased by 18.5%, and the import volume of foreign-funded enterprises increased by 17%.

In the first 4 months of 2019, Vietnam's total imports amounted to about US $78 billion 50 million, an increase of 10.4% over the same period in 2018. Among them, the amount of imports from Vietnamese enterprises was 32 billion 800 million US dollars, an increase of 14.4%, and the import amount of foreign-funded enterprises was 45 billion 250 million US dollars, an increase of 7.6%.

In the first 4 months of 2019, 17 products imported more than US $1 billion, accounting for 76.3% of total imports, of which some products grew more than the same period last year, including 15 billion 800 million US dollars in electronic products, computers and parts, 20% increased; machinery and equipment and parts 11 billion 600 million US dollars, grew to 15.2%; fabric 4 billion 100 million dollars, growth 8%; steel 3 billion 100 million dollars, growth 3 billion 100 million; plastic dollars, growth growth; automobile dollars, growth; plastic products, US dollars, growth.

In addition, the import volume of some products decreased from the same period last year, including a total of 3 billion 600 million US dollars for various telephone sets and their parts, a decrease of 15.5%, and a general metal of 2 billion 100 million US dollars, a decrease of 9.5%.

In the first 4 months of 2019, China was still Vietnam's largest source of imports, with an import amount of US $22 billion 300 million, an increase of 18.8% compared with the same period last year; followed by Korea's $15 billion 500 million, an increase of 3.1%; ASEAN's 10 billion 800 million US dollars, an increase of 9.2%; Japan's 5 billion 700 million dollars, a decrease of 1.4%; the European Union 4 billion 600 million dollars, an increase of 14.8%; the US dollar was growing.

In April 2019, the trade deficit was about 700 million dollars.

In the first 4 months of 2019, the cumulative trade surplus was about US $711 million, of which the deficit exceeded $9 billion 460 million, and foreign enterprises (including crude oil) had a surplus of US $10 billion 170 million.
