Sarah Burton, Gentle Version Mcqueen

Earlier this year, Lee Alexander McQueen committed suicide in a London apartment.

As a successor, Sarah Burton was nominated as the creative director of McQueen and shouldered the heavy responsibility.

Now, to ask who can continue to write the myth of Lee Alexander McQueen, the name "Sarah Burton" is undoubtedly the best answer. As McQueen's assistant, Burton worked with this great designer for 14 years.

Last month, the 35 year old designer made her debut in Paris fashion week.

"I don't think there's anything to worry about.

This show is more "gentle", she joked.

"There are always some dark elements in it, otherwise people will not praise the sunny side."

She continued, "I am trained in designing dark style, but I am more sunny."

In front of her is the broad white desk of McQueen headquarters, just echoing with the upright white plush polar bear in the lounge.

"There is always the spirit and temperament of McQueen.

Of course, I may design more from a feminist perspective.

Burton said, "I can't work hard to imitate the style of Lee."

Because McQueen is often classified as a fashion show, it designs clothes that can not be worn.

She hopes to change this understanding and point out that some fashion works are inspired by fashion shows.

Burton will continue McQueen's passion for manual details.

She showed reporters the design room with huge landing windows, and proudly showed us the retro lace, golden grass and fine prints of fabric on the fabric.

Burton explains.

McQueen left behind not only abundant information, but also a highly talented team, including technicians, pattern makers and lace producers, who all did their best to help him realize his fancy for fashion.

"What I learned from Lee a long time ago is that nothing is impossible."

She said, "we have been trying to surpass."

When asked about the design magic shown by McQueen, Burton talked about how a perfectly fitted dress made of 70 pieces of cloth was perfectly worn on the model. When a "37.880,0.73,1.97%" skirt was electrified, the technician warned the model not to sweat, or there was a danger of short circuit. And how the fabric made from the molecules filtered from the water made a skirt.

Burton plans to strengthen the positioning of the brand line.

She also said that there would be great demand for personal custom clothes.

When it comes to the future of this brand, Burton uses the word "possibility" one after another.

This is not due to her uncertainty about the future, but because of her deep respect for the great designer and his creativity.

She said she would start learning from things collected by McQueen, such as some beach seats, matches, statues, shells, and even a genealogy of McQueen.
